Mehdi Moazzen Biography

Born in 1979 in Sari, Iran. He holds degrees in Persian miniature painting and traditional jewelry design. He began his training under renowned masters such as Mohammad-Baqer Agha Miri and Jalil Jokar, and since 2001 has been professionally active in designing and crafting handmade jewelry. Founder of the Moazzen Jewelry School in Sari, his work has been exhibited in numerous national and international exhibitions. With over thirty years of artistic experience, Moazzen is known for integrating miniature painting into the realm of traditional jewelry design.

Since 2002, he has served as the representative of the Iranian Miniature Painting Association in Mazandaran Province. He teaches jewelry making and is also a lecturer at Payame Noor University, specializing in the Handicrafts program (miniature painting branch). He is a board member of the Sari Gold and Jewelry Union.

In 2015, he organized a specialized jewelry exhibition titled Manifestation of Love at the Kolbadi Museum in Sari, where his works were also published in book form. His artwork was also featured in the 2002 Miniature Painting Biennial.

  • 2010 – Second place in Persian miniature, National Imam Reza Festival.
  • 2006 – Second place in Gol-o-Morgh (Persian floral painting), National Visual Arts Festival.
  • 1997 – First place in watercolor, national art school competition.
  • 1996 – First place in miniature painting, national art school competition.
  • Honorary diploma from the Iranian Miniature Painting Association.
  • Vice President of the Visual Arts Association of Sari (2007).
