The Fourth Issue of Artistam International Art Magazine Has Been Released
The fourth issue of Artistam International Art Magazine, dedicated to the Autumn 2025 season and focused on the art of jewelry and adornment, has been published. The issue is available worldwide through Amazon Publishing as a downloadable file compatible with the Kindle e-reader.
About This Issue
The preparation and publication of the fourth issue of Artistam International Art Magazine took place amid the turbulent days of the Twelve-Day War, economic crisis, and internal protests in Iran. This issue presents a curated selection of works and articles by distinguished Iranian artists and researchers, made available to readers. As in previous issues, the selection of artworks was conducted through a two-stage jury process. Featuring 13 talented and thoughtful artists, the issue offers a rich collection of images and meanings reflecting cultural, social, climatic, and personal dimensions.

Artistam’s Selected Artist for Fall 2025
In this issue, the works of the esteemed artist Ms. Nasim Malmir received the highest score from the jury, and she was selected as Artistam’s Featured Artist for Autumn 2025. She is a contemporary jewelry designer based in Semnan. After studying Electrical Engineering, she earned a B.A. in Handicrafts from Alzahra University and completed specialized jewelry training under Master Keyhan Nabavieh. Her artistic approach is centered on reinterpreting traditional Iranian structures through a contemporary perspective, with a focus on cultural identity, history, nature, and environmental concerns. Her works have been presented in several national and international exhibitions and festivals.
Articles
The articles section of this issue includes five analytical essays by researchers and writers in the field of jewelry and related arts, offering a lively, inspiring, and contemporary exploration of various dimensions of this discipline.
- In Meta-Compatibility in Artistic Creation – A Case Study of Mahshid Kaffash’s Jewelry Works, Laleh Molla examines unconscious processes and the coexistence of independent elements in artistic creation through an analysis of Mahshid Kaffash’s works.
- In Jewelry as a Cultural Language in Contemporary Wearable Art – A Comparative Study of The History of Buttons and Stitches and Turandot, Dr. Mitra Mitra Bostani analyzes jewelry as a cultural and narrative language in contemporary wearable art.
- Behnam Shahhosseini contributes two articles: From Patience to Beauty – A Review of the Works of Somayeh Alizadeh, offering an analytical reading of Somayeh Alizadeh’s works, and Qajar Kings – Iranian Models – An Aesthetic Essay on the Art of Gold and Jewelry Making in the Qajar Period, which presents an aesthetic study of gold and jewelry in the Qajar era.
- Finally, Soraya Mohammadi, in Jewelry and Metalwork of the Scythians and Cimmerians, takes readers to the ancient roots of jewelry-making and symbolic animal imagery in early cultures. Together, these articles—diverse and energetic—highlight jewelry as a conceptual, historical, and identity-shaping medium within Iranian culture and beyond.
