Submission Terms and Conditions for the Spring 2025 Issue of Artistam International Art Magazine

The call for submissions for the third issue of the international digital magazine “Artistam” is now open. This issue will be published in Spring 2025.

1. Accepted Categories

• The third issue of the international Artistam magazine is dedicated to the artistic fields of painting, illustration, and photography.
• All manual, digital, and mixed techniques are accepted.
  AI-generated works will not be accepted for this issue.

2. Eligibility

• Participation in this call is open to all artists worldwide, with no age or gender restrictions.
• Minor artists must provide written consent from a legal guardian (e.g., parent).

3. Benefits of Participating in the Spring 2025 Issue

• Judging by a distinguished international editorial board
• Publication through Amazon Publishing
• Available in both print and Kindle (digital) formats
• Published in English
• Artist information listed in the official magazine page on Amazon
• 4 full pages allocated to each selected artist
• One Featured Artist of the Season selected in each issue, with 100% fee waiver
• Featured Artist introduced on the magazine’s website and social media
• 30% discount for five emerging Iranian artists
• 40% student discount for five applicants
• All participating artists will be introduced on Artistam’s website and social media platforms

4. Registration and Submission

To simplify the process, two submission methods are available:

• Primary Method: Visit the registration page at https://www.artistam.org/?p=4585 and follow the instructions carefully. (Recommended for accuracy)
• Alternative Method: Send 1 to 3 images of your works, along with a screenshot of the payment receipt (4 images in total), to: artistamorg@gmail.com (Longer processing time)

5. Evaluation and Selection Process

Artwork selection is conducted in two stages. This two-phase approach helps ensure that we receive and publish the highest quality submissions.

5.1. Payment and Submission Instructions

• Each artist may submit up to three artworks for the initial review until 1 June, 2025.
• Submissions will be reviewed based on concept, originality, quality, and creativity.
• A non-refundable fee of 100,000 IRR is required to prevent non-serious submissions (200,000 Tomans after May 9). If the artwork is accepted for publication, this fee will be deducted from the final publication cost.
• If necessary, the artist may submit additional images showing artwork details or different angles, arranged in a single JPEG file and uploaded as one submission.

5.2. Final Selection

• All artworks that pass the initial review will be considered for the final round. In this phase, the main and guest judges will score the works. The highest-scoring pieces will be selected for publication, and the artists will be contacted directly.

6. Publication

Selected artists will be asked to email high-resolution images of their original artworks along with the following information:

• A short biography (maximum 150 words in English)
• An artist statement (optional, up to 150 words)
• Title of each artwork
• Description of each artwork (optional, up to 100 words)
• Dimensions of the work
• A portrait photo (5×5 cm, 330 ppi)
• Phone number, email address, and a link to at least one social media profile (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
• High-resolution files of selected works:Horizontal/square images: 18 cm wide, 330 ppi
• Vertical images: 20 cm high, 330 ppi
• A short video clip of the artwork may be requested to verify physical authenticity.

Translation of bios, statements, and other required texts will be provided free of charge by the Festivart English Language Department.

7. Publication Fee

• The fee for participation in the Spring 2025 issue of Artistam, including 4 dedicated pages for each artist (bio and artworks), is 2,600,000 IRR. After receiving the final selection email, please send the payment receipt along with the materials listed in section 6 to artistamorg@gmail.com.

8. Payment

• All fees for the initial review and publication must be paid to the following account: Tejarat Bank – Card Number: 5859-8311-9171-1018 – Atifeh Geramian. A screenshot of the payment receipt must be included with your submission.
  Please note: due to the compact timeline of the call and selection process, all payments are non-refundable.

9. Discounts

9.1. Special Discount for Emerging Iranian Artists

• A 30% discount is available for 5 selected artists who may face financial difficulty in covering the publication fee.
• To request this discount, simply reply to the acceptance email stating that you wish to use the “Unseen Artists Discount” and wait for a response before proceeding.

9.2. Special Student Discount

• A 40% discount is available for 5 students whose works are accepted for publication.
• To apply for this discount, reply to the acceptance email expressing your interest in the “Student Discount” and attach a valid student ID card image. Then, wait for a response before continuing.

10. Artwork Requirements

10.1. Originality and Authenticity

• All submitted artworks must be original creations by the artist submitting them.
• Copies, imitations, or works that infringe upon the rights of other artists will not be accepted.

10.2. Style and Technique

• There are no restrictions on the style or technique used.
  Creativity and innovation in concept or execution are strongly encouraged and will enhance the value of the artwork.
• Please note: In this issue of Artistam, AI-generated artworks are not accepted.
• Any partial or full use of artificial intelligence in the creation of artworks will lead to disqualification.
  If such use is intentionally concealed, and later discovered, the artist may face public disclosure and legal consequences, even after selection.

10.3. Content Restrictions

Artistam magazine adheres to the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran while also respecting broader human rights principles. Submissions must not include:

• Sexually provocative nudity
• Politically sensitive or prosecutable content
• Security or military subjects
• Offensive or defamatory imagery

As previously stated, the artist is solely responsible for the content of their submitted works.

11. Legal Responsibility

• While the organizers will do their best to review submitted content carefully, it is the artist’s sole responsibility to ensure their work complies with ethical, legal, cultural, and intellectual property standards.
• Any legal issues that arise from violations will be the artist’s full responsibility.

12. Terms and Conflict Resolution

• The organizers reserve the right to modify the terms of the call, either partially or entirely, in the event of unforeseen circumstances—at any stage before or after the call.
• They also reserve the right to disqualify any submission if a conflict or discrepancy is found in any part of the submission process or if it violates the original terms of the call.

13. Use of Submitted Works for Promotional Purposes

• The organizers may use submitted artworks to promote the Artistam magazine in current or future issues and platforms.

14. Privacy of Participants

• Artistam does not collect or request private information from participants.
• All information gathered and published will be limited to the public artist data required under the terms of this call.
• By submitting materials, the artist agrees to all terms and conditions outlined and consents to the publication of the provided information in the magazine.

15. Copyright and Ownership

• All intellectual property rights of the published artworks remain with the original artist.
• However, the rights to the digital and/or print versions of the magazine published on online platforms (e.g., Amazon) are held by Artistam.
• These terms are intended to protect both the artists and the publication, ensuring that every issue of Artistam honors original, high-quality works that reflect the genuine skill and vision of their creators.
